Dr. Marcos Isamat
Dr. Marcos Isamat obtained his BSc in Biology from the University of Edinburgh (UK) and a PhD in molecular immunology from the University of Cambridge (UK). He trained as a researcher in the field of molecular biology and genetics in relation to human disease, with extensive work in the expression of Human Transplantation Antigen (HLA) genes together with the Nobel laureate Cesar Milstein at the Medical Research Council in Cambridge (UK), the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique in Montpellier and Paris (France) and at the Hospital Universitari Germans Trias i Pujol, Barcelona, where he supervised PhD and postdoctoral research on cell-adhesion biology, in addition to management roles in applied clinical analysis in the Health Care and Cell banking industry.
